Activities of the first executive committee during its tenure (01.06.05 to 31.05.08:)

  • The Nikah Register has been prepared in August 2005. After that the Nikah which held among the Biradari have been entered in the Nikah register of the Association. The Association maintains the records properly.
  • The Association released a Gada Directory 2005 (Delhi and NCR) on 01.10.05. The Directory was released by Mr. Sanjay Garg, the then cabinet minister of U.P.
  • The Association issued an Appeal to the people of Biradari residing in Delhi, to come forward to help the victims of earthquake in Kashmir. In this regard the letters were sent to about 225 peoples of Biradari. Although the response was very poor but the Association made arrangements and helped the victim with the collected Relief-Fund.
  • At the sudden demise of one of our member, Late Mr. Mohd Amir Alam, the association called an urgent meeting of its executive committee to condole the sudden incident. In that meeting Quran-Khawani and prayers have been done for the sake of Late Mr. Amir Alam. The Association also extended moral support to his family members.
  • The executive committee organized a Get-Together Function of the association on 15.07 06 at Community Centre in KakaNagar. All the members of the association with their families were invited. Janab Maulana Mohd Akhtar Sb (Mohtamim-Jamia Islamia Reerhi-Tajpura) was the Chief Guest.
    Qirat competition was held among the children and the best two children were awarded with the trophies and appreciation certificates by the association.
    Eight students who secured maximum marks in their examinations of Xth and XIIth standards were awarded with the trophies and appreciation certificates by the association.
    Two minutes silence was kept by all the present in the function to condole the death of Late Mr.Mehboob Hasan(New Friends Colony/Mughal Mazra), Late Mr. Amir Alam and all other persons of Biradari who had expired in the near past.
    After speeches by the Guests, the executive committee hosted a dinner to all and the expenditure on that was borne by the office bearers and the executive members of the association.
  • A file for inclusion of Gada Biradari in the OBC of Delhi state was moved in the OBC Commision of NCT Delhi. The matter was presumed to L.G (Delhi), Chief Minister of Delhi, Mr.Sandeep Dixit(MP), Minister of social welfare and Chairman (OBC Commision). The file is in advance stage now.
  • The executive committee of the association called a meeting on 02.09.07 to condole the death of Late Jb. Mufti Abdur Rehman Sb (Mufti-e-Azam of Delhi) and all other persons of Biradari who expired in the near past namely the father of our member Mr. Shamim Ahmad(Tajpura) and the father of Mr. Margoob Hasan(Tajpura). Quran Khuwani and Prayers were performed for them in the meeting.
  • The executive committee organized a Get-Together Function on 24.11.07 in the community Centre at Sarita Vihar. All the members of the association with their families were invited. Jb Maulana Mohd Haneef Sb (Mohtamim-Khadimul uloom ,Bagonwali) was the Chief Guest and Jb Mohd Iftekhar Sb (Secretary –All India Anjuman Gada) was the Guest of Honour.

  • The executive committee started a tradition and maintained it throughout its tenure that they representing on behalf of the association visited to the members whose close relative expired or were suffering from serious illness. They offered all types of support at their bad –times. By this act the executive committee enhanced the sense of Brotherhood, Insaniyat and of helping each other among the members of the association.
  • The executive committee decided to purchase an office for the association. Though it was a very challenging and difficult task but with the grace of Almighty ALLAH and co-operation from all the members of the association, it could be possible to purchase an office measuring 70 sq meters at ground floor , F-134, near Shaheen Masjid, Shaheen Bagh, New Delhi-25 for Rs.6,75000/-. The full and final payment has been made on 02.05.08 and the possession has been taken over on the office on 03.05.08. It was the result of unending, extensive, tireless efforts by all the office bearers and executive members and the open hearted donations from all the members especially Mr.Ch Mohd Ikram who donated the maximum amount for the purchase of office to the association and Mr. Mohd Murtaza ( Ghonda ) who started the process of donation for the purchase of office.
  • A General Body meeting was held in the office of the association on 04.05.2008, in which besides some important decisions, the uses, functioning and maintenance of the office building has been finalized as under:
    • The building /hall located at F-134, Shaheen Bagh, New Delhi-110025, will be used as office of the association.
    • It will be used to hold meetings of the executive body/general body /extra ordinary of the association.
    • It may be used to function as a library / book bank.
    • It may be used to hold seminars / conferences on issues relating to the welfare of Gada Biradari or religious issues/teachings.
    • It may be used to function as coaching institute for the students of Gada Biradari. It may run either in collaboration with the already existing institute or by the association or by the biradari professionals in this field; as decided by the executive body of the association.
    • It may be used for holding medical camps / vaccination / health awareness programmes for the people of Gada Biradari ; organized by the association.
    • It may be used for holding If tar – Party arranged by the association or any individual on payment of using charges as decided by the executive body subject to the availability of space and with discretion of executive body.
    • It may be used to stay for out stationed biradari students only, who want to appear in competitive tests / examinations in Delhi. The stay will be strictly restricted for two days & on dates of such competitive tests / examinations subject to the availability of space and with the discretion of executive body.

Regarding functioning / maintenance of the office/hall, it has been decided as per bye -laws of the association.The General Secretary is the custodian of all the official documents and properties of the association. Therefore he will maintain and manage all the records, office building and its use with the consent of the President. He will Propose and make all the arrangements required to organize all the functions and activities with the consent of the President.
      He will arrange all the connections required in the office by applying, co-ordination and persuation with the Govt. agencies. He will deal with all other matters required for the proper functioning and maintenance of the office building.
  • The executive committee prepared a Performa for family details and circulated to all members. The filled up Performa’s were returned by about 50 members and are in record of the association. This activity may helpful in many ways to all of us, if updated regularly.
  • The strength of any association is with their members, which denotes its popularity and acceptance in the Bradri. The executive committee made tireless efforts to enhance the membership of the association. At the time of taking charge the life members in the association were 88 but at the time of handing over the charge to the newly elected committee the life members of the association were 204 besides 26 annual members.
  • The election schedule was announced on 04.05.08. The committee of patrons announced Mr.Jabbar Ali as election officer and the process of election was followed. Finally the new executive committee has been formed for the tenure starting w.e.f 01.06.08.
  • The outgoing executive committee handed over the charge to the incoming executive committee on 25.05.08 in the presence of election officer, Mr. Jabbar Ali and about 40 other members of the association. Besides all the records of the association, the office was also handed over furnished with 5 ceiling fans and 20 chairs to them.The total balance amount with the outgoing association was Rs.23,303/- which was also handed over to the newly elected executive Committee.
  • The executive committee was successful to get a website of the association which was 85% complete at the time of handing over the charge. By the efforts of Mr. Siakandar Hayat, the outgoing president, it could be possible to be completed today on 31.05.08 and is ready to click .The website of the association is www.gwadelhi.org
